The 6.25 Foundation was created by Sungyull Koo and his wife, Changwha Koo with the goal of honoring fallen Korean War soldiers and furthering education for children.to remember and honor the fallen American heroes from the Korean War, 1950-53.  They generously made a donation in the name of 1st Lt. Samuel Vern “Bud” Westerman, a native Utahn born in Garfield, Utah who died in 1950 while serving our country and assisting the Korean people in their fight against Communism.  Amelia Earhart Elementary is honored to dedicate our Children’s Non-Fiction Library to 1st Lt. Samuel Vern Westerman.
