Parents of Amelia Earhart Elementary School,

1. There is no school on Monday, September 4th due to Labor Day.   School returns with a normal schedule on Tuesday, September 5th.
2. For those interested, there is a flier for the Strengthening Families program through UVU.  This is a great resource for those looking for skills to help parents and kids work well together.
3. Our Earhart Literacy Community launched our first book this year for the month of September.  The book is “The Day You Begin”.  We encourage you to read it with your kids if you can.
4. Please see the flyer below for information on how to apply for Free and Reduced Lunch.  This saves you money and also can help our school qualify for more federal support to help student learning.
5. Vision Screening is coming up soon.  If you would not like to have your child participate, please fill out and return the opt-out form attached below.
6. After School is hiring! If you or someone you respect is interested, you can check out the job posting on the Provo School District website.  
7. After School is starting by invitation only. We only have one teacher right now. Students who have been invited were recommended by teachers, staff, and admin for various reasons. We will be sending out more information soon. If you have questions/concerns or would like to be added to our waitlist please email  emmah@provo.edu.
