Fifth-grade teacher Katie Davis is the PTA Golden Apple Award winner for this school year. Katie has been an educator at Amelia Earhart Elementary since 2020. She always makes sure the students are heard and that they understand what is expected of them. She goes above and beyond for her students, including life skills into her lessons which is always a positive experience. Ms Davis has a profound effect on the students not only in her class but those students she works with in our after-school theater program as well. She changes the students fundamentally for the better and that is no small feat. Instilling a love for learning in a safe and loving environment is a hard-won accomplishment.
