This week at each of our elementary schools, fifth graders are learning about Camp Big Springs.   Big Springs is a unique and rare summer camp provided by Provo City School District for fifth grade students.  Students just finishing fifth grade are invited to participate in this five-day camp located up the South Fork of Provo Canyon where they will be involved in activities such as hands-on science, arts & crafts, sports & recreation, and campfire programs. 

This Thursday the 16th – parents of fifth grade students are invited to attend an optional orientation meeting.   This meeting will occur at Sunset View Elementary School gym, 6:00 pm.  The camp director, facilities director, and many of the camp teachers will be present to answer questions. Friday the 17th –  the students will bring home more information about camp, along with the registration form and information about available help to pay for camp.  The scholarship form would need to be picked up from the school secretary at the office. Tuesday the 21st – registration will begin at the front office of each elementary school.  Please bring the completed registration form, along with payment and/or scholarship form.  Registration will remain open until Friday, March 10th.   More information can be found at campbigsprings.provo.edu.
