1. The Christmas Sing-in for parents is Friday, Dec. 20th, at 9:00 AM. Each grade will perform one song.
2. Friday, Dec. 20th, is the last school day before Christmas Break.
3. Students will return to regular classes on Tuesday, January 7th.
These important parent, student, and teachers meetings will be on Nov. 13th and 14th. (School is out at 1:00 PM on those days). If you did not sign up for a time on Online Scheduler, please check your student’s backpacks on Tuesday for a flyer of your child’s (children’s) appointment time(s).
Due to bus scheduling, on Nov. 13th and Nov. 14th, school will be dismissed at 1:00 PM (this is different than Friday Early Out). Friday the 15th will be 1:30 PM, as usual.
The PTA’s Clothing Co-Op collection boxes for clean clothing of all sizes are in Amelia Earhart’s lobby. Please pre-sort clothes according to sizes and gender and label the bag’s contents. Come select something for your children’s and other family members’ needs on Friday, Nov. 15th, from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. This free event helps our community members recycle gently used clothing.

There is a Facebook account that appears to be trying to look like an official Amelia Earhart account but it is not. if you receive a friend request from @ameliaearhartprivate it is not affiliated with the school.
The Term 1 Standards Reports will go home with your students on Monday, October 28th. Additional information will be provided to explain the grading scale. Please direct questions to your classroom teacher.
The Halloween Parade will be on Oct. 31st at 9:00 AM. Parents will come to the gym. For costumes and make-up, please do not have children bring any weapons (even pretend or plastic are not allowed), or have overly bloody or gory costumes. Face coverings or masks are not allowed during the day, but may be allowed just for the parade.
We will have an assembly to honor our Veterans in person here at Amelia Earhart Elementary on November 8th at 9:00 AM. Please see the information below and fill out the link if you have a family member, friend, or neighbor who is currently serving or has served in any branch of the US military, and would like to be honored in person. Even if they can’t attend in person, you can provide information about them to be recognized in our video during the assembly. Pictures are welcome, either of them in their uniform, or a recent snapshot. If you have more than one military member you are welcome to complete multiple forms or email tinamc@provo.edu the information below for all.

Parent Teacher (or SEP) Conferences are coming up in November. A link for online sign ups will go out on November 1st. Wednesday, November 13th, and Thursday November 14th will be early out at 1:00 PM (not 1:30 PM) for those meetings.
Explore the Universe! After School is running a club from now until December 12 for 4-6th grade students to learn all about space! They’ll get to make basic telescopes, models of the universe, and so much more. Contact Aerro Kerns at aerrok@provo.edu.

Through song, dance, books, crafts, and nature exploration we introduce letters, numbers, self-management, and friendship skills. As a reminder, parents, please do not drop off or pick up students on the East Side of the school. That is only for bus use.
