We are excited to welcome Breann Thorpe to the Amelia Earhart Elementary team as a first-grade teacher for the 2025–2026 school year!

Mrs. Thorpe brings three years of teaching experience to our new first-grade team. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Special Education from BYU–Idaho and is passionate about helping young learners grow and succeed.

Amelia Earhart Elementary holds a special place in Mrs. Thorpe’s heart—she attended the school as a third grader and still remembers her teacher as one of her all-time favorites. Returning now as an educator feels surreal and meaningful, and she is thrilled to be part of the school community again.

This summer, Mrs. Thorpe and her husband will be moving to Provo, where he will begin physical therapy school. Outside the classroom, she enjoys running, reading, working out, caring for her many houseplants, and spending time outdoors. A few fun facts: her dream vacation is to Bora Bora, her favorite treat is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and she’s a big fan of Dr. Pepper.

One of her favorite educational quotes is: “The purpose of learning is growth, and our minds, unlike our bodies, can continue growing as we continue to live.” – Mortimer Adler

We are delighted to have Mrs. Thorpe join our faculty and know she will be an excellent addition to our first-grade team!
