Congratulations to Tina Mecham, PESP Outstanding Employee Award Winner!

We are thrilled to announce that Tina Mecham, Head Secretary at Amelia Earhart Elementary, has been honored with the Provo Education Support Professionals (PESP) 2024–25 Outstanding Employee Recognition Award.

Principal McCarty shared, “Tina Mecham is the glue that keeps Amelia Earhart together.” And it’s easy to see why. From the moment you step into the building, Tina welcomes everyone—students, parents, and visitors alike—with a warm smile and a friendly greeting that sets the tone for our school’s positive atmosphere.

School registrar Jaime Oldham added, “There is so much you could say about Tina. She is friendly, caring, and welcoming to all. She’s also incredibly organized, efficient, and knowledgeable. The school simply wouldn’t run smoothly without her. Tina is a joy to work with.”

Beyond her behind-the-scenes responsibilities, Tina is always willing to go the extra mile. She often stops what she’s doing to help teachers and staff obtain the resources they need to support student learning.
