Parents of Amelia Earhart,

1.  If you are interested in being on our School Community Council, please email jaimeo@provo.edu before Sept. 10th.  This council meets once a month (probably via Zoom) to discuss student learning and help make a plan for next school year (2022-2023) using the State’s Trustland funds (estimated about $65-$70 thousand).  Please see the attachment below to see the plan for this current school year.

3.  Students at Amelia Earhart will have the opportunity to participate in the PTA Reflections art program again this year! For those of you who are unfamiliar with Reflections, it is a national contest where students from all grades and abilities reflect on a theme and can create works of art in various categories, including dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, 2D visual arts, and 3D visual arts. They have the chance to be recognized and win prizes from the local school up to the national level.

Para los que no saben del programa, es una competicion nacional donde los estudiantes de todas edades y abilidades puedan crear obras de arte de varias categorias que incluyen la coreografia de danza, la produccion de filme, la literatura, la composicion de musica, la fotografia, las arte visuales 2D, y las artes visuales 3D. Los estudiantes tienen la oportunidad de recibir reconocimiento y premios desde el nivel de la escuela hasta el nivel nacional.
