Dear Amelia Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We hope you have had a great summer and are ready for a new learning adventure. Our teachers are getting everything ready for their students’ upcoming school year. One new change is that all Kindergarten through sixth-grade students begin on Tuesday, August 13. Please note the first week of school is early out, students will be dismissed August 12 – 16 at 1:30 p.m.
You can find your child’s class assignment on PowerSchool. Please note: Kindergarten students will not have a class assignment until after all the students’ testing is complete. First through sixth-grade students without a class assignment may have incomplete registration information. Please contact the Jaime Oldham at 801-307-4630 to assist you with the final school registration steps.
Back to School Night is Monday, August 12, 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Come with your child to greet their teacher, see their classroom, meet the friendly administration, and additional school support staff. Additionally, the PTA will be in the front hallway. Please stop and visit with the PTA board, join PTA, and sign up to assist with any school community events. We welcome all to be involved at Amelia Earhart Elementary.
These beginning of year conferences are held August 13 – 16 from 1:40 – 4:00. Each conference is 20 minutes long and held in the teacher’s classroom. Take advantage of the opportunity to schedule your own appointment. If you have not made an appointment by August 13, a take-home note will notify you of your assigned child’s conference time.
