On Monday, May 19, Amelia Earhart Elementary students arrived with grandparents, parents, siblings, both younger and older, and even favorite neighbors for our “Read with a Child” event. This school-wide tradition invites families and friends to join students in celebrating the joy of reading together.
The students proudly showed off their improved reading skills during this “Read with a Child Day,” which is a valued part of Amelia Earhart’s culture. We believe that today’s readers are tomorrow’s leaders. Students and their guests shared stories, laughter, and many good books in classrooms, hallways, or the library. We’re so grateful to everyone who took time out of their day to participate in this special event.
