Special Recognition

Each week, many students receive Aviator and Rise Praise Awards.  These awards recognize students individually for their example and efforts for academic excellence or positive pro-social behavior.  So, from the many praise notes, a few student’s names are drawn each week.  These winning students have their notes read over the morning announcements. Then, they select a new book from Principal McCarty’s book cupboard. 

We appreciate the teachers, administration, and staff who take a few minutes out of their busy schedules to write these personalized notes to recognize the great things that are happening in the the classrooms, hallways, and playground.  Amelia Earhart Elementary is a special place that fosters student learning and personal growth.
