Before & After School Program
Mission Statement
Before and After School programming provides a safe atmosphere for students to develop skills and understanding to thrive in a 21 Century world and support them in their academic achievement. We aim to support students in their development of critical thinking, of social and emotional intelligence, and to foster a love of learning.
Schedule
Monday-Wednesday, 3:20-4:45pm
After the normal school day ends, students head to the cafeteria to enjoy a snack provided by the Federal Child Nutrition program. Students then have a recess before they head to their classes.
Enrollment
We are limited on the amount of students we can accept due to our limited funding. If you’re interested in enrolling your child or getting them on the waitlist email our Extended Day Manager, Emma Hoskisson, at emmah@provo.edu.
Bus Route
There is one bus for after school that makes the following stops:
- 4:55pm – 500 N Geneva Rd
- 4:57pm – 490 N & 2400 W
- 4:55pm – 2255 W & 390 N
- 5:03pm – 1979 W Center St
- 5:05pm – 1632 W 150 N
Musical Theatre: Aladdin
This 2023-2024 school year our After School theatre program is returning with Disney’s Aladdin Jr. Students 4-6th grade are able to participate in the program.
Performances of Aladdin will be held March 26-27th.
Navajo Class
In partnership with Provo District’s Title VI program, we hold a Navajo class twice a week at Amelia. The class meets Mondays and Wednesdays during After School and is open to K-6 students throughout Provo School District.
Before School: Choir and Kindness Clubs
Amelia offers a few Before School programs.
Choir is held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-8:10 am and is open to 3-6th grade students.
Kindness Club for 1-3rd grade and for 4-6th grade meet on alternating Wednesdays from 8:00-8:20 am.
