New Cafeteria Manager for Amelia Earhart
We welcome Janell Flake as the new Cafeteria Manager at Amelia Earhart Elementary!
Mrs. Flake brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served in various schools across the Provo City School District, including Edgemont Elementary, Provo High School, and Centennial Middle School. While she has enjoyed each of her assignments, elementary schools have always held a special place in her heart. She finds great joy in getting to know each student.
In addition to her current work as a district roaming manager, supporting school kitchens wherever help is needed, Mrs. Flake advises students in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program to operate the district food truck. In this capacity, she provides students with a real-world culinary arts service experience that she describes as both demanding and deeply rewarding.
A proud mother of four, Mrs. Flake has two daughters and two sons, all active in sports and extracurriculars. From soccer to football and competitive cheer, her children have kept her busy and proud. Her youngest is currently in eighth grade, and like the rest of the family, keeps things lively and fun.
While she doesn’t claim a favorite quote, Mrs. Flake believes in living life to the fullest. One of her bucket list dreams is to visit Australia—though she jokes that she’d need some serious encouragement to fly over the ocean!
We’re thrilled to have Mrs. Flake bring her energy, experience, and enthusiasm to Amelia Earhart Elementary.
