Hannah creates an inclusive, welcoming environment for all students,” shared Joshua Smith, a fellow Behavior Specialist at Amelia Earhart Elementary.
These kind words describe the dedication of Instructional Assistant and Behavior Specialist Hannah Whitmer, who was recently honored with the Provo Way Award. This recognition from the Provo City School District and Board of Education highlights individuals who go above and beyond to support the academic and personal success of their students.
Hannah works one-on-one and in small groups to help students strengthen their skills in math, reading, writing, and behavior. “She works tirelessly to ensure every student who walks through the door feels safe and supported,” Joshua explained. “She’s not just helping them with schoolwork; she’s helping them grow as people.”
Joshua praised Hannah’s ability to create a positive and uplifting space. “She has a heart of gold and goes above and beyond to show her students they are valued,” he added. “Overall, every single student who walks through the door responds to her and respects her.”
Thank you, Hannah, for your unwavering dedication to our youth, and congratulations on this well-earned honor. Please visit the PCSD website to view Hannah’s video.
