Amelia Earhart Elementary School

portrait of Patricia BlantonDear Amelia Earhart Elementary Community,

My name is Patricia Blanton, and I am beyond excited to be joining Amelia Earhart Elementary! I can’t wait to get to know the students, staff, and families. From everything I’ve seen and heard, this school is a special place where students are encouraged to think big, push through challenges, and develop a lifelong love of learning. The strong sense of community and meaningful traditions here make it clear that Amelia Earhart isn’t just a school—it’s a family. I feel incredibly honored to be part of it.

For the past 14 years, I’ve dedicated my career to education, beginning with a background in elementary education and later earning a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership. Most recently, I’ve served as an assistant principal at Provo High School, where I work closely with teachers, students, and families to create an environment where every student—regardless of background—feels valued and supported. I am especially passionate about making sure all students have access to the tools and opportunities they need to thrive. Whether it’s implementing school-wide initiatives, supporting teachers, or advocating for students, my goal is always to break down barriers and open doors.

One of my favorite quotes is, “Education is the one thing no one can take from you.” – B.B. King. I truly believe in the power of learning to transform lives, and I’m committed to ensuring every student at Amelia Earhart experiences that power in their own journey.

Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband and kids—we enjoy going to the movies and shopping together. I also love reading and listening to audiobooks whenever I can steal a quiet moment. And, of course, I love carbs—especially pizza and pasta—but unfortunately, they don’t love me back! (They like to stick around longer than they should.) One of my biggest dreams is to travel the world, experiencing new cultures, meeting new people, and gaining fresh perspectives along the way.

I am so excited to be part of this amazing school, and I can’t wait to meet all of you. Together, we’ll continue to help our Aviators soar to new heights!

Sincerely, Dr. Patricia Blanton
