Welcome Bethany Gold Third Grade Teacher
Bethany is a recent graduate of Brigham Young University’s McKay School of Education. She completed her intern year teaching 4th grade at Wasatch Elementary and is eager to begin the next chapter of her career at Amelia Earhart. Teaching brings her a deep sense of purpose and joy, and she is thrilled to join such a supportive school community.
Her favorite educational quote, from teacher/astronaut Christa McAuliffe, “I touch the future. I teach,” reflects her desire to make a lasting impact in the lives of her students.
In addition to her love for education, Bethany has a rich background in the arts. She holds a minor in Theatre Arts Studies and once took a semester off to work at Disney World—an experience she describes as one of the best decisions she’s ever made! She enjoys running (and is currently training for a half marathon), sewing, and indulging in dark chocolate peanut butter cups. She loves traveling and has visited Washington D.C. (the picture above has her superimposed on the Library of Congress, notice the tote bag). She wants to visit Italy, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland soon.
Bethany is enthusiastic about joining the Amelia Earhart team and looks forward to a wonderful year ahead. We’re so happy to have her on board!
