New Second Grade Teacher Kailin Walker
Kailin, a Brigham Young University–Idaho graduate, earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She joins us from Mountain Valley Elementary in Ammon, Idaho, and has five years of teaching experience across multiple grade levels, including 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th. While she has loved teaching every grade, she has a special fondness for 2nd grade and the unique growth and joy it brings.
Kailin is passionate about creating a positive learning environment for her students and is guided by the belief that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” a quote by Nelson Mandela that reflects her commitment to impactful teaching.
Outside the classroom, Kailin enjoys reading all genres, playing games, and spending time with her family and friends. She’s also an adventurous eater who is willing to try new foods and loves Chinese, Mexican, and Italian cuisine. She is looking forward to enjoying all that Provo and its surroundings have to offer, including Provo Canyon and Moab.
Originally from Utah, Kailin is thrilled to be returning to Utah County to be closer to her family. She feels especially lucky to be joining a school with such a welcoming community of students and staff. We are thrilled to have Kailin as part of the Amelia Earhart family and look forward to the energy and experience she will bring to our school community.
