Beginning June 7th, children can enjoy FREE breakfast and lunch through the Provo City School District Child Nutrition Program! The Summer Meals Program assures children still have access to wholesome foods while having fun in the sun during their summer break. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the federally funded nutrition program is open to ALL CHILDREN and TEENS ages 0-18 years at approved sites located in low-income areas, or that serve a group of children most of whom are low income. No application is necessary to drop in for a meal and all children and teens are welcome!
The Provo Board of Education, Superintendent Rittel, and the Child Nutrition Program recognize the need for safe and healthy meals within the Provo community when schools are not in session. Serving as a key building block, the Summer Meals Program provides our children with access to nutritious meals during the summer break safeguarding their health and happiness and helping them return to school in the fall ready to learn!
This summer, meals will be served using a ONE TIME PICK UP of grab-and-go meals curbside style. This means that families will pick up today’s lunch and the next day’s breakfast curbside in one grab-and-go bag. Following is a list of schools with meal service dates and times. Please be aware that menu changes may occur due to product availability.
